8 Cards for $10.00 – October 6th

Well it’s going to be a busy weekend for me! Tomorrow is Cait’s birthday. She is my best friend in the whole world (want to know that best part? I will always be the youngest by 4 days…Ha ha!) So we have dinner plans with her and some friends. Then it’s off to Toronto with Cait and Nancy (another fellow demo) for Stampinpalooza! It’s going to be a huge day! Make and takes, demos, swaps, and key note presenter Linda Hansen! If you don’t know who she is, she’s a fantastic lady from Stampin’ Up Headquarters! We are heading down on the Friday for a special demo event the night before!

My busy weekend doesn’t stop there… On Sunday, hopefully,  Cait and I will get some time to hang out for some joint birthday fun! Then Monday it’s MY BIRTHDAY!!!!  Be sure to check back for my super birthday special!

Then last but not least, it is the 8 for $10.00 on October 6th! I am very excited for this new type of class, and I have a full house! Anyone who was thinking about coming, and has not confirmed with me, please let me know! If I have 8 more people confirm then I am going to look into a room somewhere to fit us all! For now here is a sneak peek at one of the cards we will be making on Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

Post-it Note Purses

PICT5131 Some one asked me at the fair if I could post pictures of the cute little post-it purses that I taught in one of the classes. It was a busy class, I had so many people that I ran out of supplies!!! But not to worry, this project is quick and easy to recreate, you just need to pick up a pack of post-it! As a tip: look for sticky notes at the dollar store or in clearance bins at department stores, especially if you are going to make a bunch of them. Another option is to split a tall notepad into even chunks, these stacks can also be found at the dollar store! Its all about finding the best deals!!
They are very easy to change up for any occasion or season. The second one is made with a smaller chunk of a notepad. It is mounted on a chipboard coaster, which is covered in designer paper. Add some ribbon and some embellishments and it’s done!PICT5133

Fall Classes, Kits, Clubs and More!

Here are the list of events that I will be holding for the fall months. If you have any questions about any of them, please give me a call or send me an email!

I will post links so you can register through Paypal over the next few days or you can contact me by phone or email.

Clearly Creative Monthly Social Clubs Start this Fall!

Would you like to get together with others who enjoy stamping, card making and scrapbooking? These are fun social clubs that last 8 sessions and at each session I will teach you different techniques and layouts that you can use in your stamping. At the social night, I will have everything prepped for you and your product ready. It’s a great way to meet other people in the area who share your hobby. In addition to learning new things you get lots of great products that you get to choose. I hope to see you soon!

Over 8 months, 8 club members will each place a $25 order. Each person will be a workshop hostess & will get freebies once during the 8 months! In addition, you will get a free stamp set, free shipping, a free catalogue and a bonus ink pad included with your hostess order. It's a great way to get hostess benefits without hosting a home workshop.

On a personal note: I have been in a social card club for nearly two years now. Even though I am a demonstrator and can order product myself, it is one of the best evenings I get each month. It is a fantastic opportunity to have one night that is just for you! I offer these clubs as a monthly occurrence simply because I know that families are busy and to include a few hours just for yourself doesn’t happen very often! It’s a great night out, great projects, and a great way to add some new items to your crafting!

Super Saver Hostess Club: Starts Wednesday October 7th
We will meet the first Wednesday of each month, and I will treat you to three free projects! Includes cards and 3D items! Club begins October 7th.

Scrappin’ Happens Scrapbook Club: Starts Friday October 16th
We will meet the third Friday of each month, and I will treat you to one gorgeous double 12x12 scrapbook layout and one single 12x12 scrapbook layout – all complete with fabulous stamps & accessories. Every layout will be filled with items like: designer paper, several layers, lots of accessories and will be suited to fit 4x4, 4x6, or 5x7 photos.

Paint Chip Pretties

PICT5113 I was browsing around on the internet the other day; really I was bored and had nothing better to do… Anyways I came across this great idea! Matchbook notebooks, made out of Paint Chips! How awesome is that?

They were really easy, just got a pile of different paint chips from Rona, I tried to make sure they would coordinate with SU Inks. Then I chopped up some copy paper for the inside, I believe the measurements were 2.75 x 2.25. PICT5112 I trimmed the paint chip a little bit to make the paper fit right. For the front I just stamped an image that fits in a 1 1/4” circle punch. Tart and tangy is one of the best sets for that! I suppose you could embellish them a bit more, but I think they turned out really well. I’m going to put a few in my hostess bucket!

In the meantime, the fair is going really well! I can’t believe there is ONLY ONE DAY LEFT! That means only one day left to get my special coupon for 15% off your first order!
I am so excited to be meeting tons of new people, and I look forward to see everyone at a club or stamp-a-stack soon! I will be posting the full list of upcoming classes and clubs soon, so be sure to keep stopping by or become a follower!

Starting on Monday, I'll be calling to follow up with everyone who indicated they wanted information on classes/workshops/parties/fundraisers/demo info. So you might be getting a call from me in the next few days!

The most exciting thing about tomorrow - we're going to be drawing a name out of our ballot box for the winner of our HUGE basket of prizes. There are 9 stamp sets, a pack of ribbon, 4 packages of Designer Series Papers, a package of 12x12 Rich Regals card stock and a Simply Scrappin kit - it's a fabulous prize and I'm excited to see who wins it!

Simple Snowflakes

Any one who stops by our booth at the Western Fair can get a special postcard entitling you to 15% off your order through me! The card is valid anytime this year, but I am only giving them out at the fair!

Remember the really pretty folded snowflake I made a while back? Well I was going to teach it at one of my classes at the fair, but after it took me 3 days and a lot of patience to make 10 for a 3-D swap I decided that it might be a little too intense… So I was left to come up with a new ornament! Here it is:
PICT5107a

I cut out two snowflakes with the Big Shot die and sponged them with coordinating colours. I stuck them together with a dimensional to pop up out the front snowflake, then stuck a rhinestone brad through the two snowflakes and the dimensional. Instead of ribbon for the loop I used the new silver cord from the Holiday Mini. That’s it! Told you it was easy!!!

Punch Art Friends

PICT5100 On the weekend Alesha taught a class at the fair featuring punch art animals. These great cards are perfect for party invitations or kids birthday cards. I know I mentioned to a few ladies at the booth yesterday that I would post a few pictures of the Sesame Street cards that I did up after the bear. But before that I would like to say that Cait, Meg and I made a successful batch of pickles on SaturdayIMG00078 that we are very proud of!  With no experience in canning, Cait and I ventured out to Trails End to get some baby cucumbers and some jalapenos, and then headed to Meg’s kitchen.  It took us about 6 hours of cleaning, cutting, sterilizing and boiling but they look great! So now we have to wait for 3 weeks before we can see if they taste any good… The men are VERY excited to taste them!

Now on to the Sesame Street friends! I made these examples as cards but they could all very easily be made flat and incorporated into any scrapbook page. For the base of all of them I used the Scallop Circle Die. The rest of their features used a combination of punches and the circle cutter.

Beautiful Beginner Birthday Cards

Well this week is flying by! Preparations for the Western Fair are in full swing, Kristine and I popped over to Alesha’s today to help her prep some of her classes and get some flyers stamped…lots of flyers…more flyers then I ever want to see again…Right Kristine? LOL. Its a relief to know I only have one class left to prep for, its been a tough one too! But I have finally decided on a design and I’m pretty sure it’s going to look great! Don’t worry, I’ll post it when I’m done!

In the meantime, here is the card I am teaching for the Beginner Birthday Card Class on September 17th. I’ve had Crazy for Cupcakes for a while but I have never used the balloon, so when I saw this card I knew I had to make it! The original design was from a stamp-a-stack that Kristine did a while back, and it’s the first time anyone has cased one of her cards! She was so flattered that I liked it so much. So if you are like me and love this card, be sure to leave your comments. Let’s show Kristine some love! For these ones I used Pink Flamingo DSP and coordinating cardstock. Then I added the colour to the balloons with my pastels. Et Voila! Beautiful Beginner Birthday Card! Of course I had to make extras for myself, I think I’ll give one to my close friend for his birthday today!

IMG_2208

I apologize if the pictures are not great, I always end up trying to take pictures at night, with horrible lighting and as you can see, Axel was in the spot with the best light… So after we established that the cards were not toys or food…he actually bit the card and now I have teeth holes in one of them…we compromised and shared the spot…   ENJOY!
